After almost 4 years of infertility we decided to seek professional help. Before we actually decided we needed intervention, we often chalked our infertility up to "bad timing." After many, many months of this mind set, we realized that this probably wasn't the case. Perhaps there was something wrong. Just realizing that something might be wrong took some time to digest. It isn't easy to cope with. Many questions go through your mind...most of them start with "what if??" What if there REALLY is something wrong? What if I never have children??? And so, very many more.
I think I always knew there was a problem. Looking back, even as a child, I always had a feeling something was wrong. It was like a sixth sense, almost. I always knew getting pregnant wouldn't be easy for me.
